Your junior golfer will have the opportunity to attend clinics during the junior golf program. (If your child is unable to attend a clinic there will be two, Friday afternoon make-up clinics during the season.) These clinics cover the fundamentals of the golf, including safety, etiquette, putting, short game and full swing. The clinics cater to each group based on skill and experience through group instruction and some one on one attention from our professional staff.
After the completion of each clinic, juniors have the opportunity for on-course playing time.
All groups are to check in with our golf staff prior to course play. 5-hole and 9-hole groups must have a parent volunteer with them at all times. There will be a Junior Golf tee sheet for sign ups. One week prior to play, parents are responsible for registering their children online or by calling the Pro Shop.
Safety is the most important part of our junior golf program. We will spend time each week going over safety issues on and around the golf course. Each student will be taught how to properly hold a club when not using it and how to act with integrity at all times. Etiquette and appropriate dress will also be stressed as an essential part of our Junior Golf program.
In order for the playing portion of the program to be successful, we need the help of parent volunteers. We ask parents to volunteer at least twice throughout the program. Volunteering by parents ensures our program runs in a safe and timely manner. We will need 8-15 parent volunteers each week to act as walking scorers and to help with pace of play.
